Ondanks dat het boek in 73 jaar oud is, is er nauwelijks een roman denkbaar die ons vandaag in de context van de wereldwijde coronacrisis zo dicht op de huid zit. On the 23rd of April professor Ruud Welten will give a lecture on The Plague, a book written by Albert Camus. The Plague is more relevant now than ever. Camus describes a city which is threatened to perish due to a collective disease. Despite the fact that the book was written 73 years ago, we can’t think of book closer to our reality of today’s worldwide coronacrisis. Which philosophical insights can we take from the book?
